AmbeR Day Scott is a mixed media sculptor and curator whose passion lies in creating large-scale immersive art experiences. Over-the-top parade floats, giant visual elements for street festivals, and the dizzyingly festive Xmas Xplosion exhibition were all part of a day's work for AmbeR as the gallery director and resident artist of 9th Street Studios.

Callie Lawson has a background in photography, ceramics, and fiber arts.  In recent years, Callie landed in a brand new community where she was assigned the mission of reviving a local museum, embarking on a huge historic preservation project, and creating mobile, temporary exhibitions and programs within non-traditional places. She has always been drawn to 3D mediums and antique oddities and her position as a museum director gave her tons of exposure to both!

AmbeR and Callie met as colleagues in the museum world. They worked on multiple exhibitions and installations together and they quickly became beautiful friends and collaborators.

In 2024, AmbeR and Callie were simultaneously working on home improvement projects (in their respective homes) and regularly sending each other their success stories, horror stories, and words of encouragement. When they took a road trip to the Grapevine Meow Wolf, what initially started as "Oh, wouldn't that be fun inside a home" quickly escalated into "Let's Funk Around and Find Out!"

Their creative AND professional backgrounds have perfectly prepared them for this moment-- the moment when Funk Around and Find Out Designs LLC became a reality!
